Entrance examination
1. Test registration
TRUEMAX determines test eligibility based on submitted material. You will either receive a notice requesting that you take the entrance examination or a rejection notice.
A fee of DKK 1000 must be paid prior to the entrance examination. If you pass the entrance examination and register for the program, the fee will be applied to your tuition. If you do not pass, you will receive a refund of DKK 500.
2. The entrance examination
For 3D Fundamentals students:
- Submit application form for 3DDA
- Interview and exam, 2 hour written test and 2 hour practical test
- If accepted the applicant will receive confirmation of participation of 3DDA education
All other applicants:
All others must submit the following materials prior to the entrance examination:
- Send application form to TRUEMAX academy
- Letter of intention, Please write a brief letter telling us why you would like to study for our 3DDA education: What are your influences and what inspires you? What related work or education have you previously been involved in?
- CV and portfolio *
- Interview with exam, 2 hour written test and 2 hour practical test
- If accepted the applicant will receive confirmation of participation of 3DDA education
* About Portfolio:
- 2-3 examples of 3D rendered still images or Animation approx. 10 - 20 seconds

About the test:
Admission to the education program consists of a preliminary interview followed by an entrance examination.
The entrance examination is 4 hours in duration, consisting of an interview, 2 hour written test and 2 hour practical test.
The written test:
The candidate is asked to answer approx. 50 questions in order to demonstrate a fundamental understanding of 3D computer graphics and animation.
The practical test:
The candidate is asked to model a specific object/figure.
Interview:
The candidate is required to attend a private interview.
Only those candidates with the right qualifications, motivation and who are suited to the demands of the education program will be granted admission to the program.
Admission criteria:
If there are more candidates than places in the education program, the best qualified candidates will be chosen on the basis of the results of the entrance examinations.
