For the past seven years Warren has helped create creatures and
characters familiar to global audiences for the film and television
industry. His work with Weta Workshop has placed his efforts in the
worldwide arena of myth and fantasy. Hercules, Xena and the epic
film trilogy The Lord of the Rings are just a few projects on his
résumé.
Primarily working in the concept design area of the workshop with
tasks ranging from free hand illustration to 3D maquette sculpture
to computer assisted colour rendering, Warren works a variety of
designs mediums to help achieve the desired result. While at Weta
his experience also included the management of the manufacture and
installation of large scale sculptures, sculpting of scale figures
and busts. Warren now works from his home in Tauranga, New Zealand
concentrating on freelance illustration for a variety of publishers
and continues to add concept design via the internet for
Weta.
