Course Outline - Overview
Week One Overview of interface and equivalent to 3ds max. Exercises such as simple animation and modelling.
Week Two and Three. Introduction to modelling. Poly, nurbs and subdivision modelling. Create environment using different modelling techniques.
Week Four Shade and texture our environment. Overview of Maya and mental ray materials. Basic UV editing.
Week Five Character modelling using poly, nurbs and subdivision surfaces. Rigging character and animation using IK and deformers.
Week Six and Seven Rigging & Skinning
Week Eight Integrate character and environment. Light and shade environment. Render using final gather, gi and sun and sky shader with mental ray in Maya. Camera techniques such as motion blur and depth of field. Animate cameras fly through. Prepare scene for rendering and overcome any render problems.
