We are pleased to announce that the award for short animation at INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL "PEOPLE'S AWARDS" 2007 (organized and sponsored by the Octaedro Foundation), held in Ecuador, went to “The Steadfast Tin Soldier” (Den standhaftige tinsoldat).

The 3D animated short was directed by Moayad Fahmi and is his first directorial effort. The short was produced by TRUEMAX studios.

In addition to the award, the film also took home a very heavy trophy and a beautiful certificate!

More awards and nominations
However, it wasn’t the first time that “The Steadfast Tin Soldier” had won an award. In 2005 the short also won the ‘Certificate for Creative Excellence’ at the U.S. International Film and Video Festival, in the ‘Children’s programming’ category. And award for best children’s film at the International Festival of Animated Films TINDIRINDIS 2006, held in Lithuania, went to “The Steadfast Tin Soldier”.

And in addition to these awards, the film was also honored by being nominated for awards at eight other film festivals.
